Pros And Cons

Air Broom is a combat oriented gear for players with an aggressive playstyle.
Pros Cons
  • Reduced Tornado Cost: To assist with it's special effect, Air Broom has a largely reduced tornado cost of -7 on level 1/2 and -12 on level 3. Many more tornadoes can be placed at high speed thanks to this, helping you entrap opponents in spaces while keeping enough resources to stay afloat. Additionally, on certain tracks you can save air by using tornado boost to perform skips instead of a normal boost.
  • Unique Tech: By using tornado boost into a boost chain, you can gain a ludicrous amount of speed quickly regardless of your current speed.
  • Low Air Efficiency: While tornado boost puts you at boost speed, it does not put you into boost state meaning you won't maintain this speed. Despite lower tornado costs, this means you're generally spending more air to cover the same distance, especially on longer sections of track.
  • Low Cruising Speed: Another reason to use your resources wisely is that Air Broom has quite a low top speed compared to other gears.
